Q: I’m trying to salvage 3/4″ pine flooring from a house over 100 yrs. old that is scheduled to be razed. The 8 foot planks are nailed onto the joists, which are 12″ apart. Because there is so little space between joists, prying isn’t working well. Any suggestions for a frustrated DIYer?
A: I’m afraid I don’t know of any wonder method. A large wrecking bar, a smaller pry bar and a hammer is what you will need.
