Q: Can 1/4 inch OSB board be placed over an old tongue and groove floor before laying a laminate floor?
A: I suppose if the existing floor is solid with no movement, and flat, you can do that. I’m just not a great fan of multiple layers. Your top, finished floor will only be as sound as the sub floor it sits on.
