Q: Can we sand, stain and poly unfinished hardwood floors (tongue and groove) before installing? We are trying to match our site finished floors but don’t want to have to move out for 3 days to have the new area site finished.
We know the wood type (red oak) and the exact stain (Minwax Provincial).
A: No. The floor will not install perfectly flat. First install, then sand and stain.
