Q: I was staining my hardwood floors when I got a call and had to leave due to a family emergency. About 9 to 10 hours later I started staining again when I noticed that where I stopped earlier there was a stop line.
What can I do to fix that line? Do I have to sand it out and stain it again or what?
A: Yes, you will have to sand it out. You can’t stop the stain across the boards width.
