Q: How do I keep my end walls from “picture framing” (being lighter than the field) when staining a floor?
A: Sand with the same grit on both edger and big machines for the final sanding. Then orbital sand the edges with 80 grit and screen polish with either 80 or preferably 100 grit. If it is a dark colour I always water pop the floor first.
