Q: I live in a historic building with hardwood floors that have been neglected, but still look pretty good. I would like to make the floors look good without investing a lot of time and money. I have access to floor buffer and high speed burnishers. Would a high speed burnisher get rid of light marks from shoes and moving furniture?
Thanks for your assistance.
A: If the floors have dents and impressions, gouges from dragging heavy items, then only sanding will get rid of that. If the floor has a wax finish however, Dura Seal makes a good product for cleaning them up called Renovator.
