Q: I installed hardwood flooring, sanded, put 2 coats of poly. After the third coat the floor has several spider-webbed type cracks in it, why?
A: It sounds like the previous coat was not dry enough and the solvents in the final coat etched into the previous coat. Are you applying the finish according to the recommended spread rate? Generally 500 sq. ft. per gallon.
