Q: I arrived at your site via Google. I have new cherry wood floors and I have dropped a heavy object on it and created a divot, small, maybe the size of a quarter wide, but it is a shame.
I would like to know what you can do about it and what the cost would be..
A: It is going to be tough getting anyone in to do something with this. Honestly, I am too busy to take time to deal with it. What would I charge? I have to come and look at it. Probably have to buy a box of wood for one piece. Then, to drag some tools in to do the work… It isn’t worth it for anyone. I think your best bet is to call the people who installed the floor. If this is a factory finished floor, then you will probably have to replace the board.
