Q: I have laminated flooring. We scratched it during Christmas. Is there any way to remove the scratch without having the floor replaced?
A: You can try a colour match felt marker. If the scratch is deeper than the surface, you may need to use some wood filler first. Not a perfect fix. If it is only one or 2 panels or strips, and a space was left around the perimeter as is required, you should be able to take the board(s) out and replace them. Torly’s makes just such a tool for this job. www.torlys.com
Similar Q: I have lightly scratched a laminate floor with a metal baby bouncer. I would like to know if there is a simple, easy way of getting rid of the scratches.
A: You will probably have to replace the panel. I would contact the laminate manufacturer. Perhaps a colour match felt marker might help to hide the scratches.
