Q: I have wooden flooring in my split level home. They are nice floors, but the middle of the top hall way landing is like a hump or raised a little. The house is built circa 1967, is this OK or a structural problem?
A: It is not all that uncommon to find older homes with such a situation. What would cause the supporting walls to sag is an issue for an engineer. It shouldn’t get worse unless you had say, termites.
