Q: We have oil based polyurethane hard wood floors I have a mid sized dog that has left fine marks from the pads of his feet.
I’ve been told that nothing can be done.
A: How rough are the pads on his feet?:) Are you sure it is not actual impressions into the wood from his nails? Fine surface scratches can be taken care of with periodic buffing and re coating. If there are impressions/depressions in the wood itself, a fresh coat will not get rid of those, but applying a satin or low shine finish may hide them better.
