Q: I’m putting in a hickory floor that has lots of knots. I like the rustic look, but I also want to fill the knots. I was thinking epoxy. What about a trowel on filler?
Hickory has such a wild variation in light & dark wood, I’m not sure what color filler I’d try to match.
A: Check out Timbermate wood filler. www.timbermate.com. Perhaps someone locally has access to this. Barry, a rep from that company will surely answer you if you email him.
