Q: Do you have experience with a satin clear coat that has low VOC, or no VOC, that you would recommend?

A: Given your issues with voc’s, I would lean to recommending a water based product. The high end finishes are actually quite durable. Either Bona Kemi Meg, which does not require a cross linker, or Dura Seal 2000 which does, but can be cross linked twice. Water borne finishes are somewhat more difficult to work with however, since they dry fast, and this may be an issue since you live in Arizona.
