Remove parquet flooring

Q: I need to remove parquet flooring in order to put 3/4” solid wood down. What is the easiest way to do this?

A: A flat blade shovel or ice scraper would likely do the job. If some areas are held very well by the adhesive, you may have to use hammer and chisel is spots.
