Q: We have a solid oak micro beveled hardwood floor. Is it possible to strip the wax off and use a teak oil for a finish?
What would you recommend?
A: Micro bevel floors have not been on the market that long. The last time I saw a waxed floor with bevelled edges, it had larger bevels. Are you sure your floor has a wax finish? If it is a waxed floor, Dura Seal has a good product called Renovator. I believe if you can get the wax off the surface, you should be able to oil it.
