Q: We just finished installing a 3/4″ solid , pre-finished hardwood floor in our bedroom. While installing a phone cord, we drilled a hole from under the house right through our newly laid floor.
Is there a way to repair the hole without taking out the entire board?
A: There is wood putty that is color matched to floors. You could fill the hole with that. It would hardly be noticeable.
