Q: How do you apply your polyurethane? I know with a lambswool pad, but do you walk in one direction with the polyurethane or back and forth strokes?
A: I usually do rows 5-8 feet wide, from one end to the next until I have worked across the room. Some use a weighted “big foot” applicator which is designed for water base. In this case, you start off one wall, pour a puddle and “snow plow the finish in long unbroken strokes from one end of the room to the next until out the door. The one problem with these large cylinder pads is that if there are any dips in the floor, it is a pain to hit them with the applicator and not leave puddles.
