Can I remove bubbles from my laminate flooring?

My laminate floors are very dull and won’t shine when washed. What can I do?

We had a laminate floor fitted 6 months ago, and some edges in the center are raising slightly. Also, there are slight divisions becoming apparent in some areas. Is this expected or should I complain to the fitters?

We recently purchased Torly’s Laminated flooring with the 4 bevelled edges. It is supposed to be 9.5 mm thickness… What does this thickness refer to, the wear layer or the core? I am asking because we have only had the floor for 5 months and have found it is not standing up to the durability of the laminate in our previous house (only 7 mm thick and much cheaper). I am in fact very disappointed with the durability of the Torly’s floor - we have several scratches on it already, as well as dents, and we have not abused the floor. In fact, we are treating it much more carefully than the previous flooring that was used at our last house. Have you ever had any other complaints about the durability of Torly’s flooring for scratching and denting, etc.?

I recently had a plumbing problem under the kitchen sink. Now there is some water underneath the wood laminate flooring (about a 3′x3′ area). I’ve noticed slight swelling in between the planks. What’s the best way to dry that out?

Should I use silicone to seal floating laminate floor during installation? I am getting ready to install a floating laminate wood flooring in our front entryway and living room this weekend. I have heard of people putting a thin bead of silicone on the top part of the tongues before inserting them into the next board’s groove in order to prevent any spilt water from leaking in between the boards. I am wondering if this is a good idea or not. It sounds good in case our cat were to knock over water while we were gone, but would it hinder the expanding/contracting of the floor over the years, or make it too difficult to replace a board if ever needed? Would it be necessary or worth it, and if so, what kind of sealant would you suggest?

I am trying to find help on our laminate flooring. We installed it as instructed about 3-4 years ago, left the space on the side, etc. About 1 year later it started snapping. Now it is so bad I cannot stand it! It even snaps now throughout the winter, so it is not the humidity. I want to take it apart and reinstall, but how do I get it apart without destroying it? I have contacted the company that made it and home depot where we bought it and nobody wants to help. This is a beautiful floor and it cost us a good penny.
