Kitchen appliances have no available space to install hardwood underneath them

I have two under cabinet appliances with no room to install the hardwood floor beneath to allow the appliances to still fit under the cabinets afterward. Any suggestions on what to do?

Peanut butter, oily contaminant on wood floor

Please don’t laugh too hard when I tell you that I applied peanut butter to my kitchen floor. This had worked beautifully on a linoleum kitchen floor years ago when I accidentally dropped some peanut butter on it. It restored the colour that had been ruined by my son spilling turpentine on it. With this information, the contractor did not want to touch my floor.

Two coats of stain or water popping for deeper stain colour

Should we go for 2 coats of stain instead of 1 to get the deeper stain colour that is closer to the colour of the stairs?
