Glue on back of salvaged wood

I have removed some oak flooring from a renovation job in a house and plan on installing it in my house. I have removed all the nails from the back but there is some glue on the the back which is sometimes hard and sometimes brittle. What is the best method for removing this? This leads to my next question. What is the the best way to re-install the oak strips (type of nails, glues etc.)?

Floors have been sanded 2-3 times

I live in an old house which had oak floors sanded (they are light beige now), apparently a few times. I have cracks and areas in the kitchen where the color is worn. I cannot afford to put in new floors. I was wondering if it is possible to fix the cracks and stains (from carpet, plants and my dog’s urine) and refinish the kitchen.

Dull streaks on laminate from office chairs

We installed the thickest and most expensive laminate floors in our house about two years ago. Our two office chairs in our house have plastic wheels. The laminate floor in the office is very dull, we think from the wheels of the chairs. How can we get the shine back?

Stained with poly still on floor

I made a mistake. I thought I only needed to ‘rough’ the finish of my floor before staining. I stained it with a good bit of poly still on the floor. Not it looks bad. How do I fix this without starting over?

Orange spots on wood floor

My oak hardwood floor has orange spots all over, after my contractor refinished my floor. What are the spots from? No stain involved.. just sealer and polyurethane
