If you have already made the mistake of trying several products like floor refinish and dust mop products, how do you remove the residue? Should I try a floor stripper product?

We ripped carpet up and found hardwood flooring. What do you suggest we do with all the holes left in hardwood by staples from carpet strips? Also, there are some gaps around outer part of where wall meets floor. Should we use caulking?

I was wondering if you could help me with a flooring filler/polyurethane issue. My floor was professionally refinished 1 year ago and was to have a ‘worn’ look to it. We left many gaps and wanted only to fill the gaping holes and to make the entire house seem uniform in its’ ‘old world’ floor appearance.

My mom’s floors have well traveled areas (like doorways) where the floors look almost gray. The floors are otherwise light. How can the well traveled areas be repaired to look like the rest? Is there something we can put on it?
