How do I remove tape adhesive from wood flooring without stripping the floor?

Q: How do I remove tape adhesive from wood flooring without stripping the floor?

A: There are a couple of products I have noticed at Home Depot that say they will do this. Goo be gone or Goof off? Something like that. I would check the label first. If that won’t work, perhaps mineral spirits or alcohol?
