What is the best way to repair a dime-sized hole (cable wire size) that was drilled into the floor?

I have particle board on my floors and would like to get it up. What do you suggest is the best way to do that?

I have just had my room fully plastered & the laminate flooring was not fully covered when they did it. I have scrapped the dry plaster of with an old credit card so not to scratch the laminate, but the white marks are coming back every time the floor dries. What can I do to get rid of these plaster marks?

Can we stain pine?

I just installed a T & G fir plywood floor in our barn and was looking for suggestions on what type of coating I should use to prevent slivers, seal the screw holes and minor gaps in the flooring. We are using the floor for roller blading, badminton, basketball etc. I was thinking of a rubberized colour coating of some sort?
